07 Nov Lifting the Spirits of Hospitalized Teens…Mason’s Way
Being in the hospital while everyone else is enjoying the holidays is hard. Big thanks to Matthew and to Mason’s friends Alex, Josh, Shawn and Blaize for picking out items to fill backpacks for all the children in the Oncology Unit at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. Many more of Mason’s friends came out to sort and pack the gifts into 30 string backpacks donated by Heather Evans of Thirty-One, which were delivered to the children who were in the hospital for treatment during the Christmas season, along with Dunkin Donuts gift cards for their parents donated by the Broome Family. Each backpack included a handwritten note from one of Mason’s friends and each gift card for a parent was included in a handwritten note from Mason’s parents. Thanks to all for your gifts of time and donated items!
